Facebook lets people describe what they want in Feed and Reels

Meta is rolling out topic controls and written feedback to help people adjust their Facebook recommendations.

Meta announced new Facebook recommendation controls on 13 October. Your algorithm lets people add and manage topics they want to see in Feed and Reels. The controls sit in the three-dot menu on posts, which Facebook has also updated. [1]

Facebook may now ask follow-up questions after someone marks a post Interested or Not interested. People can describe what they want more or less of in their own words. Meta says its ranking systems use that feedback to adjust recommendations within the same session. [1]

For creators, the useful question is whether a post delivers what its audience came for. Make the topic clear and keep the content focused on it. These controls do not give creators a new way to buy or guarantee reach.
