Google announced on 5 November that Vids now uses Omni 1.2 Flash for video generation. The company says anyone with a Google account or Workspace subscription can generate up to three 15-second videos each month at no cost. [1]

The update also accepts reference images and includes changes to generated speech. Google presents these as ways to create short promotional clips, explainers and other videos. These are product capabilities described by Google, rather than results from independent testing. [1]

TCE’s view

For creator campaigns, a short generated clip could help a team discuss a concept before a shoot. It cannot establish that a creator has used a product or had the experience shown. Keep product demonstrations and personal recommendations grounded in the creator’s actual work. Check the output before including it in a brief.

Sources and context

The announcement states a monthly generation allowance. It does not promise campaign results or confirm that every account has identical access.
