LinkedIn adds creator earning tools, with initial US limits

A new dashboard will bring creator tools together, while video ad revenue and paid consultations have narrower access.

LinkedIn announced a creator dashboard on 15 October that will bring content management, audience insights and earning options into one place. The company says it will roll out globally over the coming weeks and be accessible through the profile picture in its mobile app. [1]

Access to earning features is more limited. In-Stream Ads is being tested with selected US creators and advertisers, allowing eligible creators to earn from pre-roll ads alongside their videos. Advice Sessions, which combines consultation bookings, payments and video calls, is available to Business Premium subscribers in the US. [1]

TCE’s view

Creators should check which options appear in their own accounts before planning around them. A useful consultation offer needs a clear topic, a defined session length and a specific audience. Brands considering creator video partnerships should confirm programme access directly with each creator.

LinkedIn has not announced a date for wider access to In-Stream Ads or Advice Sessions. The release does not specify creator payment rates.
