Pinterest announced a Shopee affiliate partnership on 23 September covering Indonesia and Brazil. Eligible participants can link their Shopee Affiliate account to Pinterest and recommend products in Pins and videos. Pinterest describes the arrangement as its first affiliate-commerce offering in Indonesia. [1]

The tools allow creators to include several eligible products in one post and optionally attach affiliate links automatically. Commissions depend on qualifying purchases on Shopee and the programme’s terms. The announcement does not give commission rates or promise access to every creator. [1]

TCE’s view

For a creator demonstrating a routine or a complete outfit, grouping relevant products could make the recommendation easier to follow. Before adding this option to a campaign brief, check the creator’s eligibility and the availability of each product in the target market. Keep a production fee separate from any uncertain affiliate earnings.
