YouTube’s Creative Capital report draws on more than 20,000 creators across the EU and calls for better access to training and industry support.

YouTube published its Creative Capital report on 12 October, drawing on feedback from more than 20,000 creators across all 27 EU member states. The company says 60% reported insufficient support for specialised training and workforce development. [1]

YouTube’s recommendations include creator-focused training, apprenticeships and cross-border exchanges. The report also calls for wider access to existing industry support. These are proposals from the platform, rather than an announcement that a new training or funding programme is open for applications. [1]

TCE’s view

For brands commissioning creator work, this is a reason to discuss production capacity early. A strong creative idea still needs time for editing, feedback and delivery. Ask prospective partners which skills they handle themselves and which require outside help before agreeing the brief and schedule.
